Experience the magic of “First Christmas” as Jefferson United Methodist
Church takes you on a journey to Bethlehem though our captivating play on
Sunday, December 7 at 2pm and 6pm. In “First Christmas: Stories from the
Birth of Christ,” you will hear from the story’s main characters themselves. As
the characters share their stories, your spirit will be stirred by the soul-stirring
songs, carefully selected to reflect the significance of this holy season. The director,
Carolyn Rice said: “ Most of the play takes place immediately after the birth of
Christ and depicts the challenges faced by those who were part of this
momentous event.” Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children 6-12 and
available at jumcbr.org or at the church Monday – Thursday, 9am – 1pm. A
portion of the proceeds will go to The Shepherd’s Market (the Methodist food
pantry) and to Christian Youth Theater / Christian Community Theater. The
church is located at 10328 Jefferson Highway, between Airline and Bluebonnet,
or call 293-4440. Get more info here.
